Doctor Strange does some magic

So after a Stephen Strange mention in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Doctor Strange finally does some magic at us. I don't know much about the comic book character but I know about Benedict Cumberbatch and cannot wait to see him unleash a wrath of Sherlock in the general direction of bad guys.

What do we know so far?

Rumours were circulating for a while last year that Tilda Swinton would be portay the Ancient One which is now official - seems like a good casting somehow. She's good in that film about a speeding train, Under Siege 2?!

Scott Derickson, best known for horror movies such as Sinister and The Exorcism of Emily Rose will be in the directors chair with script duties going to Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer.

From the set up so far in the MCU we have only recently had a taste of the quantum realm in 2015's Ant-Man which is where Doctor Strange probably spends his Tuesday nights.

Talk of a Doctor Strange movie has been constant for the last few years and it is good to know that finally it comes to the screens in 2016. I think Ant-Man did a great job last year and with the other 10,000 Superhero movies out in the next 11 months, DS will be a good one to see out the end of the year. By that point we would have seen Tony Stark punch Steve Rogers in his perfect white teeth, Batman swearing (but not really) at Superman, Deadpool breaking the fourth wall and Apocolypse being a big purple power rangers villain although it will probably end up being quite good.
