Captain Marvel Movie News
A movie announced in Kevin Feige's 2014 presentation was Captain Marvel. Feige is quoted as saying “This Captain Marvel’s name is Carol Danvers," which means we will get to see our first female led superhero movie in the MCU. Danvers adventures begin on Earth but her powers are very much based in the intergallactic universe which could be important in connecting the Guardians of The Galaxy with our Earth bound heroes.

Captain Marvel Movie News

With little to no news other than a release date, information regarding MCU's upcoming Captain Marvel movie is hard to come by. The information we do have is that writers Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve are offically on board. Perlman wrote the original screenplay and LeFauve (writer of Pixar’s Inside Out) have both submitted treatments for Captain Marvel. Both seem to have impressed Marvel enough to make them join forces for the 2018 superhero movie. It's no suprise that the MCU's first female led superhero movie is being left in the hands of women.
Their has also been talk of a female director. Angelie Jolie has been linked with the project and more recently Ava DuVernay (director of Selma) has been in discussions with Marvel. It remains to be seen if either will sit in the directors chair but DuVernay is currently being linked with Captain Marvel or Black Panther.
